It all starts with the bigger picture; one can look at this in two ways: either, looking ahead to those moments that we dream of some-day reaching, or from some point in the future where you would like to look back and feel the sense of accomplishment of having achieved what you want to be remembered for.
As your inspiration to aspire to your lifetime achievements comes from the large goals that you will have set for yourself, iAction ™ provides the intelligent framework by which you will structure the steps to get you there. Of vital importance, your motivation is continuously uplifted because it has its foundations in the work you have taken to set up your personal (mission) statement, as well as the ongoing tracking of your performance of the actions taken, recording them as your long-term personal development.
‘Rome was not built in a day…’ To get the maximum benefits of the App you need to start small. Identify and pick one or two specific targets that you wish to attain, even if each of which will only have one or two goals (achievements) every week. As soon as you get comfortable with the system and you are making a continual habit of completing the small short-term goals that you set for yourself, you can introduce more targets in more areas of your life. Do not be under the impression that this is a ‘quick fix’ to solve your problems or achieve the things that you want to achieve. The process is a slow and constant one. If you wish to make a change, to make a difference, no matter how big or how small, this App has been designed to help you.

You must be aware that iAction has not been designed for everyday chores – rather it specifically tailored for the overall improvement of you as a person e.g. increasing efficiency, spending time with people, reading journals. It is not intended to schedule and keep your appointments, like going to the dentist or the staff meeting – there are plenty of other calendar Apps that will do this for you. This, however, can be used to improve the time whilst attending such events e.g. you can use it to bring ideas/improvements to the staff meeting.
It is worth repeating again that this is NOT a glorified to-do list, to add events that need to be attended and input into your diary, haphazardly strung together from external events. Rather this is your personal development long-term plan! A proactive list of actions for you to take based upon your principles. For this reason, we strongly recommend to choose a date (and time if possible) for every event. ‘Someday’ may as well be never; this App is designed to lead to you to action, by having you select specific times each week for you to accomplish your goals.

After designing and creating the App for our personal use to improve our productivity we made the decision and took the steps to release it worldwide. The rewards that it has brought to the all-encompassing attitudes in our daily habits, the personal development and self-help progress achieved through the continuous use of it, has led us to bring this remarkably powerful App to the greater iPhone community. Here at Von Nostrum Games, we have spent much time in developing the fundamental concepts built into this App in order that it will work as effortlessly and effectively as possible for you, the iPhone user.
Whilst we cannot wave a magic wand in order provide you with the formula for personal growth and development in all aspects of your life – what we have done is create a structure in which you are able to integrate aspects that you identify to be of primary importance into your busy schedule. The App allows you to manage your time and focus your resources in a more efficient and effective manner and as each week goes by you will be taking steps towards reaching those objectives in life that are truly important.
General Principles and Benefits:
- You are in control of your thoughts and feelings i.e. your reaction to external stimuli.
- The only meaning in anything is the meaning you give it – please note that the same stimuli will often give different responses in different people. What is important is how you address the situation.
- To have an ‘abundance’ mindset.
- The best thing out of making this app is that people can share in the daily struggle for improvement. It’s not a zero sum game. Growth doesn’t take away anything from anyone else, it should even add to those around you too!
We have personally been through these resources and books and have find them beneficial in starting and setting up the right frame of mind in order to motivate oneself to achieve things in life. By addressing our perspective of the situations and people around us we become more attune to the way we do things. In the long run this means taking a different course than we would have done otherwise, which indeed is the main point and focus. To do those things that we have always wanted to do!
